So little did I know that I lived down the street from the coolest mom on the block, Melissa from Stockpiling Moms!  Ironically, we met over Facebook, and Melissa asked me if I would be interested in shooting some mugshots for a super secret future endeavor of theirs!

Introducing “Baby” Micah, as he is loving referred to in our house by his two adoring big brothers :)

Micah1week_0011

He is perfect.  He arrived 2 weeks past his due date, on April 4th weighing 8lbs 2oz (the smallest of all 3!) and 21 inches long.  His delivery was the quickest – I went into labor (On a Sunday night, AGAIN!) and 8 hours later he was in my arms!  Labor was quite intense, at 6 cm my waters broke and I delivered him 15 minutes later!  Dr. Wall missed the delivery by a few minutes, but oh well, he arrived and he was perfect.

He has been a busy little man!  He has already visited the zoo 3 times, celebrated Easter, celebrated at his brother’s 5th birthday party, been to a couple baseball games, and attended a festival.  His brothers adore him.  I can’t leave the house for more than an hour because I miss him.  Daddy rushes home everyday to see him.  He is one lucky little guy.

And I am so blessed to be their mom.

As most of you know, Wolff bambino #3 is due sometime this month!  Our family couldn’t be more excited, and along with the new baby is going to come big changes for our family.  The biggest being I am going to attempt to be a work at home mom with the photography business!  At least for the next year, I am going to forgo the corporate full time career.  While I LOVE what I do, my boys need me more.

With all of that being said, since I am committing more time to my photography business, I have decided to invest a significant amount of money into the business as well.  I have purchased new photo equipment and newborn studio props in order to give my customers the best possible product I can.

My Bluegrass Baby Photo will be closed from March 1st through April 30th, so I can spend time with my boys, and bond with the new baby upon his arrival.  All the new equipment will be ready to go when my sessions begin again on May 1st, and I couldn’t be more excited!  (Of course, everyone will see previews of the new stuff with the baby!)

Thank you for your continued support of me and My Bluegrass Baby Photo.  I am so blessed that I can use this talent to provide you with family portraits to last a lifetime, while having a blast and supporting my family at the same time!

The boys and I had a little fun in our basement studio yesterday!  I don’t think this will be able to be a permanent fixture in our home, unfortunately, but hopefully one day I will have a space where I can do this all the time!

Happy Valentines Day from my home to yours!

Announcements!

January 17, 2011

As I promised on my facebook page, 2011 is going to bring MANY new and exciting things to My Bluegrass Baby Photo!  For starters, I promise to blog more :)   Yes, I promise.  Any HOW am I going to do this, may you ask?  Well, the plan is for me NOT to return to my “career” for at least the rest of the year.  I can’t promise I am going to have THAT much more time, but hopefully enough!  With the arrival of baby boy #3 at the end of March, this mama is going to have her hands full!

Which brings me to announcement #1!  Book your sessions NOW!  I am shooting in January and February, and then I am taking March and April off to be with the new baby.  May and June are already booking up, so e-mail me ASAP!!!

I have also been doing some research, and have found some wonderful and unique new products to offer my clients!  I am just started offering these amazing wall frames.

Frame Examples

They are available in virtually any size, and prices start around $45.  Contact me if you want to order any of these beauties!  I am in the middle of placing my studio order, and I can’t wait to share with you!  Contact me if you want to order or if you have any questions!

I have also been looking into a really cute photo jewelry company, so if you have an interest in photo jewelry (necklaces, charm bracelets, rings, keychains, ect) let me know!

Thank you to everyone for making 2010 such a great year for me, and I am really looking forward to devoting more time in 2011!

New pictures to come soon, I am working on my “favorites of 2010″ blog entry!  New pics of my boys too!

I was honored when Heather, the boys ISR instructor, asked me to take her daughter’s senior pictures.  Honored, elated, and so excited!!!  Luckily, I had taken Mckenzie’s pictures with her brother and sister last summer, so I knew we would have fun.  I am thrilled with how these turned out, and hope they don’t look like everyone else’s ;)

Look for big things from this one ladies and gentlemen, I can’t wait to run into Dr. Fee one day.  My one piece of advice to you Miss Mckenzie: Don’t ever give up on your dream.  No matter the time, blood, sweat, tears, and money it takes to get there, it will be worth it.  You are going to be awesome.

2011 Seniors!  If you like what you see, give me a call!  Here are the details:

Family.

July 27, 2010

We went to the Outer Banks (NC) for the 1st time with Nate’s family in June.  It was awesome.  Go there.

I wanted to hire a photographer to take our photos, but couldn’t find one suitable (to my standards) that was available when we were visiting.  So, these were all taken by me, self timer, or my wonderful brother & sister in law (if I happen to make an appearance!)

I am pretty sure I have a better chance of getting struck by lightening than having the boys cooperate for 1 family picture…

Attitude at its finest

Stay tuned – lots of fun stuff happening in August.  And my next blog challenge:  Since I obviously can’t keep up, I am forcing myself to pick my 1 favorite shot from every shoot since the last time I blogged clients!  YIKES!

On VACATION!

June 23, 2010

Just a quick update to let everyone know I am on vacation and will not be answering any e-mails until Monday, June 28th!  Have a great week :)

FYI, these were taken with my new Panasonic P&S and not edited!  Not too shabby, but I do wish I would have gotten the waterproof P&S instead.

Check it out!

Well, well, well, look who won’t be crawling to college after all!!!

Denial.

March 2, 2010

Today is all about denial.

I am in denial that I will be 29 this year.  I am in denial that BB is so grown up lately.  I am in denial that my mom might be moving away, and that my baby brother is getting married.

I am in denial that my baby is 1 today.

I find it so ironic that our boys couldn’t be more opposite.  I always said this about Nate and his brothers, I just couldn’t understand how 4 boys who grew up in the SAME house with the SAME parents could be SO different!  Ben is the lawyer, the analyst.  Nate is the giver, the builder, the rock.  Dennis is the teacher, the philanthropist.  And Mike is the thinker and the quiet one.  All wonderful qualities, with the same set of values.

Nolan is laid back, LOUD, and carefree.  He does things on HIS time.  (I should have known that would be the case from the beginning!)  While Brayden is organized and structured, and always ahead of his time.  The best example is the train table.  They both love trains.  For 2 years, our train table has set in the toy room exactly how the picture shows it.  That is how Brayden likes his things, neat and organized - where it belongs.  Don’t move it to the left because he will know, and he will hate it.  Because he hates change.  Well, his baby brother is now mobile, and the train table will never be the same.  I am finding pieces of track upstairs, in his highchair, and in laundry baskets.  It makes BB a nervous wreck.  Big brother is just like his mama, and has a lot to learn about patience and not getting things his way all the time!  I see so much of Nate in Nolan and me in Brayden that it is exciting and scary!

Exactly 1 year ago today, I did the most empowering thing a woman could ever do.  I wanted to do the absolute best thing I could for my baby the second time around.  The baby I prayed for every day for 2 years.  Little did we know, God had a plan for Nolan.  A plan for our family.  And we are so blessed and grateful, no matter how difficult the road was to his arrival.

He has brought so much joy to our lives.  I love you Nolan Jude, and I am SO PROUD and blessed to be your mama.

Here are a series of photo collages from your first year!

And oh yea, Happy Birthday to Nate! Without you, my precious baby would obviously not be possible :)   And thank you for turning 29 before me!  In all seriousness, he jokes that he will never have a birthday ever again, but I say it just makes every one from now on a 1,000,000,000x more special.

Happy Birthday to my boys!

I promised that I would merge this blog for personal and business, so I need to make sure I stick to updating you on the boys!!!

January 2010 (but including Christmas pictures):

BB – It is so hard to believe that he is almost 4. I am old enough to have a 4 year old. 2010 is going to be a very hard year for me. Did I mention he is going to be 4?!?!?

BB Facts:
When he wakes up in the morning, the first thing he asks for is cereal and milk.
Every snack MUST be in a bowl.
He would stay in his ‘jammies all day, everyday, if we let him.
It is like pulling teeth to get him to eat any fruit and veggie. The exceptions are carrots and green beans.
He LOVES to learn, and he asks questions all day long.
He hits and lays on his brother and then tells me he does it because “I love him and I want to play with him”.
His favorite show is World Word.
He has a girlfriend at preschool, and her name is Lexi.
He is still obsessed with trains, and Cars the movie. The other day he asked me what I did at work today, and I told him I was in training most of the day. I should have known better. His response? “Mom, why were you making trains at work today?”
And my current favorite thing BB does – At night when he should be sleeping, he sneaks downstairs, gets 3 carrots out of the fridge, climbs up on the couch under my blanket with me and says, “I love you my sweet mama“. Then he goes back to bed at the next commercial.

Nj – I am in denial that in 1 month he will be 1 year old. That is all I am going to say about that.

NJ Facts:
He has 3 1/2 teeth. The second top tooth is currently coming in.
He dances. All day long. Whenever he hears music, he dances. I hope he does that for the rest of his life.
He is still army crawling, and has the raw knees and arms to prove it. When he gets mad, he will get up on all fours.
He pulls up on certain things, and loves walking with assistance.
His first word was DOG. He now says HI, BYE BYE, Dadda, and Dog.
He still screams. His giggle will erase any bad day. He is so happy.
He will hold his bottle, but will do anything in his power not to have to. As soon as he sees your hand, or notices that he can prop it on his belly and let go, he will.
I think he is going to prefer wine when he is older, because he won’t leave my wine rack alone!

Mom fact – I did not take one picture of my kids in January! I think it was a refreshing break for everyone, but you better believe February will contain at least one special “denial” session.

And we can’t forget our Chesney.  He’s getting better.

And the winner is….

The winner of our 1st blog giveaway is…..

Megan, you can thank BB – he picked your name out of a hat!  Thank you to everyone who entered!

Announcement!

October 14, 2009

I have decided that since my business is such a big part of my life, that my life should also be a part of my business :)  Many of you know, the reason I started My Bluegrass Baby Photo was because of my boys.  This business wouldn’t exist without them.  For that reason, I have merged my original blog with my photography blog.  You will posts about our life, pictures from all my sessions, as well as business news on this site from now on!

And here are a few pictures to hold you over until I have a chance to catch up!

Miss Leigh, now almost 5 months old!
