Crocodile Tears

February 24, 2008

It is hard to say “no” to these eyes.

Jenna and I grew up on the same street.  Her and her brother, Scott, were both older than me, and from the time I was 7 till the day she left for college, I looked up to her.  I shared this story with her a couple months ago, and although she didn’t remember, it is one I will never forget because it embodies alot of who I am - just plain stubborn :)

It was the first day of 1st grade.  I loved my teacher, and just had a wonderful day – until it was time to go home.  My teacher, Mrs. Godshall (I told you I loved her, I even remember her name) gave me a sticker that told me what bus # to get on.  So I listened to her, and got on that bus.  Before take-off, Jenna got on my bus, and told me I was on the wrong bus and I needed to leave with her!  I plain refused to listen to what she was saying to me – my teacher told me to get on this bus, and I was not getting off!  Well, I was the last little girl on the bus, none of my friends from the street in sight and I was terrified! Jenna was right.  One of the most embarassing moments of my life was getting off the wrong bus infront of all my family and friends, who were all still at the bus stop waiting for me to arrive :)   From that day on, Jenna could have told me to eat a roach, and I probably would have listened and obeyed!

Fast forward to this week.  After seeing Jenna at Dave’s Benefit, we also realized that a good friend of hers is my neighbor.  And that neighbor is also friends with Tiffany!  What a small world!  Well, Jenna and I now share a passion – our babies and photography.  We even have the same camera! Here is the Kemper’s Family Blog – enjoy!

Amazingly talented….

February 18, 2008

Some people in this world are just amazingly talented, and very generous.

A man I have never met, but works for my father in New York, made B this amazing bank!  B LOVES it, and asks to put $$ in it at least 3 times a day.  I am just in awe of the love and talent that was put into this beautiful bank.  Thank you to the man I have never met, you made my baby’s year :)

It just doesn’t seem fair

February 12, 2008

Poor baby Carter flew up with the angels into God’s arms last night.  Please pray that Tiffany and Luke and all of their family & friends can find peace in God’s decision.

Daddy, please don’t look so sad,
Mama please don’t cry
Cause I am in the arms of Jesus
and He sings me lullabies.
Please, try not to question God,
Don’t think he is unkind
Don’t think He sent me to you,
and then He changed his mind.
You see, I am a special child,
and I’m needed up above
I’m the special gift you gave Him,
the product of your love.
I’ll always be there with you
and watch the sky at night,
Find the brightest star that’s gleaming,
That’s my halo’s brilliant light.
You’ll see me in the morning frost,
that mists your window pane.
That’s me in the summer showers,
I’ll be dancing in the rain.
When you feel a little breeze,
from a gentle wind that blows
That’s me, I’ll be there,
planting a kiss on your nose.
When you see a child playing,
and your heart feels a little tug,
That’s me, I’ll be there,
giving your heart a hug.
So Daddy, please don’t look so sad,
Mama don’t you cry.
I’m in the arms of Jesus
and He sings me lullabies.

I got in trouble for not having a single picture of Brayden posted for 2008.  So here you go Dad :)

He is his father’s son.  And his father teaches him all of these bad things :)

Time to pray

February 9, 2008

Prayer is all we can do.

Other than that, I feel helpless, and hate to see our friends in so much emotional pain.  Carter has had a tough week, and we need to give him the only thing we can - lots of positive thoughts and prayers.

Luke & Carter

Also, please think of Dave, who started his 4th round of chemo yesterday, and my grandfather who is still in the hospital.

Shabby to Chic

We went on a hunt for rental property this weekend, which of course, was also the perfect time for me to switch into creative photographer mode.  I thought these turned out pretty nice, and you would agree as well if you saw the homes they came from!

P&G will be airing their 3rd ever commercial during the 2nd Quarter of Superbowl XLII on Sunday.  It is a really good spot, so stay tuned!

There was a party today to show everyone the spot, and I won this:

 Tide IPod

I have never owned my own IPod before!  I am behind in the times, I know!
