September 25, 200910 years?!?!
September 22, 2009Has it really been 10 years since we graduated high school?!?! Apparently so, because my reunion was this past Saturday, and Nate’s is this week! I have to admit, I feel old. It seems like just yesterday, we were walking across that stage and starting the next chapters in our lives as *gasp* adults! Well 2 or 3 chapters later, not many of us have really grasped the “adult” part yet, but have realized that time sure does fly!

Oh yea, and I have a little announcement…Ok, so not so little. HUGE in fact 
Yep, you guessed it BABY STAHL is a cookin’! Erin is due April 19th – dangerously close to charing a birthday with BB!!!!! WE LOVE YOU and we are SO EXCITED It was a hard secret to keep! I wanted to shout off the rooftops and couldn’t get the smile off my face for days! That is one lucky little bean growing in that belly
And speaking of amazing moms…if you haven’t checked out Taryn’s blog in a little while - head on over there right now. Taryn is an inspiration, and I am honored to have her as a friend.
Preschool!
September 13, 2009This week was BB’s 1st week at his new preschool. And we ALL love it! If you have a 3-4 year old and haven’t picked a preschool yet, they are still taking applicants! Tell them we sent you Gloria Dei Preschool in Lakeside Park. They have creative play, music, spanish, ect. class every day! And they switch rooms for each class, which I think helps keep the kids attention. I can’t stress enough how much I love this program. Next year, BB will also go on Mondays for their Whole Language program.

I dropped him off for lunch with Mamaw Beth when school was over, and he came home with these 
I can’t explain how proud I am of this little guy. He is going to be the brains of the family! He is really close to being able to read. We went on a walk the other day, and he blurted out ALL the letters in ALL the signs we passed. He just loves learning, and I think that Gloria Dei is going to be a great start to his academic career!

The avocado feeding, and the next cereal feeding didn’t go any better. Poor Nj, I am going to be sending him to high school with a bottle. Just kidding. But that is how everyone else is acting He will eat when he wants to!

September 13, 2009I have been taking product photos for Anne Marie of Ambernee Crochet on Etsy. (More about that on my photo blog a little later) But it was a great excuse for me to take pictures of MY KIDS!

Our Aly
September 4, 2009Chesney, Brayden, Nolan, Nate, and I lost our best friend to cancer today
Aly was smart, loyal, and always there for us. She was the best dog, and she will be missed so much.We got Aly on December 22nd, 2003. How do I remember this date, you ask? See, this is not the first time I have lost one of my precious dogs before it was really their time to go Skyla was our first dog. She had a genetic kidney disorder, and we had to put her down because of kidney failure on December 21st, 2003, the 1 year anniversary of our engagement. I couldn’t stand the pain, and Nate and I went to pick out our new puppy the next day. We named her Aly, half of her predecessor’s name spelled backwards. She was our “baby”, and just like Skyla, we took her everywhere with us. We took her to the lake, camping, on vacation, and spent countless hours with her at the dog park. She was the only one in the dog park who would come immediately when she was called, and she never wandered beyond 20 feet from our side. She moved into our first house with us, welcomed Chesney with us, moved to our next house with us, and welcomed our babies home with us.
I know some of you will say that she is just a dog, but she wasn’t just a dog to us. She was part of our family. She greeted us every time we walked in the door, and slept by our side every night. She let Brayden and Nolan climb all over her, jump on her, chase her, pull on her hair, her tail, and her ears without ever a complaint.It is going to be hard coming home for a long time. We will miss you Aly cat. You were the best.

And I haven’t gotten a chance to edit this picture, but I wanted to make sure Nolan had a memory of her as well. It is such a shame that he will never remember what an amazing dog she was, but I hope later in life, this picture will give him a little insight.
